The whole arrangement, in plain words

A membership is a rolling arrangement between you and Belsize Priory Cafe. It gives you the benefit described on the plan you chose, at the cafe named on your account, for as long as your payments are up to date.

It is not a gift card, it holds no cash value beyond any credit shown in your account, and it cannot be transferred to another person.

Paid plans are charged on the day you join and on the same day each month or year after that. If a payment fails we will try again over the following few days and email you. Benefits pause while a payment is outstanding and resume the moment it clears.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Where your plan allows pausing, you can do it yourself in your account. A paused membership is not charged, and the days you have paused are added to the end of your period.

The number of pauses and the total days allowed each year are set by your plan and shown on your membership details page.

You can cancel at any time in your account, in two taps, without contacting us. Your benefits run to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

We do not refund part-used periods, except where something has gone wrong on our side. If it has, tell us and we will put it right.

Prices change occasionally. When they do, we email every affected member at least 30 days beforehand.

By default, existing members stay on the terms they joined on. Where we do need to move members onto new terms, the email will say so plainly, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Each plan sets a maximum number of drinks per day and a minimum gap between them. These limits appear on the plan itself, in your account, and on the staff screen at the counter.

Your member card is for you. Where a plan includes guest coffees, the plan says so. If a card appears to be shared between people, we will raise it with the account holder before taking any other step.

Your member card is a rotating code that expires within a minute. It contains no personal information, so a photograph of it reveals nothing about you and stops working almost immediately.

Staff at the counter see your first name, your plan, what you are entitled to, and when you last redeemed. They do not see your email, your address, your payment details or your full visit history.

If we are closed for more than seven consecutive days for a reason within our control, we will extend affected memberships by the same number of days without being asked.
